List of Best Elementary Schools Includes Wilkins

We are proud to announce that for the third consecutive year the Wilkins School has been recognized as one of the best elementary schools in the state by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report looks at schools across the country for its annual rankings list. Almost 950 elementary schools in Massachusetts were ranked for this year’s list. Public elementary schools ranking in the top 40 percent of their state earned the distinction of being named one of the best schools by U.S. News & World Report. This included the Wilkins School, which ranked in the top 15 percent of elementary schools in Massachusetts.

“I continue to be incredibly proud of the staff and students of Wilkins! It is a true honor to be named to the U.S. News & World Report list of top elementary schools for the third consecutive year. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment of everyone who has supported our students throughout their years at our school,” said Katie Monahan, Principal of the Wilkins School. “While we are proud to be acknowledged for our strong MCAS performance, our greatest pride comes from knowing that our students leave Wilkins well-prepared and confident as they continue their academic journeys.”

Elementary schools are ranked based on student proficiency in math and reading, with the top-ranked schools recognized as high achieving ones that succeeded in educating all of their students.

“We are continuously improving because of the work of our outstanding scholars, educators, support staff and leaders. It does take a village and the Wilkins Elementary School is moving in the right direction,” said Dr. Joseph Baeta, Superintendent of Schools.

Congratulations to the students and staff at the Wilkins School!
