The Impact of Anxiety on Learning

Please join us at a presentation about the Impact of Anxiety on Learning, for parents/guardians of children in grades PreK-12 on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 6:30-7:30 PM, at the O'Donnell Middle School Learning Commons, 211 Cushing Street.

The Stoughton Parent Engagement Department and the Stoughton Special Education Parent Advisory Council are co-sponsoring this free event for all Stoughton parents. This presentation will address some of the underlying issues related to childhood anxiety. Research shows us that there has been a 17% increase in the diagnosis of anxiety disorder over the last 10 years. Some topics covered will be school avoidance, attentional issues, executive function ability, social emotional skills and addiction to video games/social media. Presented by Jane M. Hardin, author and consultant from Ribas Associates. Childcare will be provided if needed. Email j_wolff@stoughtonschools.org.
